Ok I wasn't sure. I thought "Fix committed" was for "committed in
Ubuntu" (whatever that meant ;-)

Thanks for packaging that for testing.
I installed the version from that PPA, but now I can't run gthumb. It says that
it's not currently installed but when I go to install it, it says it's already
installed...
It looks like that package only installed the documentation?

12000-15000 is not a solution, actually. I think, it should be set to max size,
which may be handled by gThumb.
It handles 16kx4k JPEG pretty well. So, 2^15 - 2^16 should be enough, if you
don't want to set it to very large values.

A sample image isn't necessary. A limit of 1 is indeed set in the
glade files.
Would a boost to 12000 or 15000 work for you? We don't want to set it
too high - gThumb is not optimized to handle huge images.

It'd be few megabytes. Isn't that too much to attach?
You can resize any image with gimp/imagemagick to test this.
I think, but is related to control initialization: 1 is set as max
value.

Thanks for your bug report. If you could attach a test case of an image
that big, that would be great.
Until then, maybe The GIMP will work for you.
