Ive been having the same problem since about the same version of wine. I
update with the wine repos so now I'm up to v 0.9.51. I do not have an
nvidia card so i don't think it would be related to an nvidia driver. My
graphics card is an intel x3100 in a thinkpad x61. There are no
.xsession-errors t

That gave me a clue into what was happening. For some reason my nvidia-
glx-new driver was crashing. reinstalled it and now everything works
again. Thanks

It sounds like X may be restarting for some reason if it logs your out
of your X session. I would also take a look at /var/log/Xorg.* log
files.

Can this actually be a Wine problem? Like I said, yesterday it was
working fine. Wine ran all my windows apps.
