also had the problem
switching AccelMethod
in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
from "uxa" (which was necessary some time ago to fix an earlier bug)
back to the default
I confirm this bug on dell xps 13 9333.
In 14.04 I had intell graphics drivers installed.
As a solution for this bug, which works for me, I've removed AccelMethod"
"glamor" from xorg.conf
In my case just moved out file /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
After rebooting bug not reproducibl
/var/log/Xorg.0.log shows the following error when trying to start the
unity-control-center:
[ 70748.746] (EE) intel(0): intel_set_pixmap_bo: size of buffer object
does not match constraints: size=4096, must be greater than 8192, but
less than 67108864
My graphics controller is:
[22.724] (--)
