players, but not in Totem or Rhythmbox, regardless of where the files
are.

Local files skip, but if i drag these local files over to another
network machine (windows) from my local drive they play fine.

Yes its happens everytime on long mp3's. It happens in both rhythmbox
and also totem. The files play fine across the network, on my ipod and
even in windows, so i know its not the actual file(s) itself.

Does this absolutely happen every time, and do you get the same
