It's been six years and this issue remains a considerable problem.
After two years of using Deja Dup on 3 machines I have 2000-5000 files
in each backup folder, because each file is only 25MB. Managing such a
number, e.g. deleting old files manually, is a nightmare.

The attachment "patch to add dconf setting so that only advanced users
see it." seems to be a patch. If it isn't, please remove the "patch"

here is a very small patch that just adds a dconf setting. So people
who do not care, will not see it. But I need it. I did some backups
with 250MB chunks, and I did not notice any slow down vs. 25mb chunks
that are the default, but I don't really care how long it takes, I need
the big chunks o
