lspci output suggests that card has completely "disappeared" from the
system which is at odds with reporters comments that booting into
Windows allows the card to work properly. Moving from xorg -> linux-
source-2.6.22.

Today Sept 08 2007:
a) i do as usual a full upgrade and dist-upgrade via apt and i get:
new kernel 2.6.22-11
If you were using the NVIDIA binary driver the initial problem (xorg didn't
start after updates) is _probably_ different to what you are seeing now you are
trying to use vesa. In an attempt to solve the second problem can you do the
following:
mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.old
and th
