Let's be clear, if I follow the steps exactly as they wer written in the bug
description:
1) Ensure device is locked with PIN/passphrase and showing locked greeter
2) Insert USB cable and try to access device content over MTP - No content is
displayed as expected
3) Reboot device, leaving USB cab
is this only reproduced if you have the handset plugged in, and if it
locks, the mtp service remains available?

We're unable to reproduce this; and while it's possible that it's
related to the use of USB 3.0 vs. USB 2.0 on the host, that would make
it a host / driver / hardware issue rather than a bug in MTP.
I'm marking this as Incomplete for now, to be brought back to New should
we figure out how to prope

Ah, this is probably an issue with what values the greeter stuff might
default to if the greeter isn't available. Should be a simple fix.

I re-tested this on a fresh install. In this case it takes 2 reboots of
the device at the locked greeter screen to show this problem. It is
still possible to access device data over MTP without unlocking the
device.
