I do not have full source in hand, but I suspect some of the ?new
duplication detection mechanism was not working the way it should be.

I can confirm this bug because I experience it as well. I am searching
for an upstream bug report, which I know there used to be one, and I
swore there was already a report of this in Launchpad, but I can't find
