Hello Po-Hsu Lin (cypressyew)!
Yes indeed, I mentioned only touching not clicking...
Concernig the "bug 1188025" that you mentioned it writes that is fixed
on kernel 3.13, and I think this the default kernel for ubuntu, which
did not recognise it at all

Hi,
You mentioned about "touching on the right-bottom corner", you mean click on
that area or just touch it?
If you're taking about clicking, this means that your right key detection area
might be too narrow.
In such case you can change it by adapting the "xinput set prop" command found

I can't find such a thing on BIOS

right button area (but do not press down)
And use a pen or some other object that touchpad can't recognize to click on
the left button?
Jean-Max Reymond, it would help immensely if you filed a new report via a

You can use the Trackpad on the Acer Aspire E15 if you enter the BIOS by
holding F2 at startup and changing the Trackpad setting from Advanced to
Basic under the Main tab. This solved my issue with the Trackpad. Now
I'm exploring why the BIOS is preventing Ubuntu from booting from an

I just installed kernel 3.16.0.28.38 (couldn't find 3.16.0.28.21) and is
working the same as 3.17.7
It is working as well, but with the issues that I mentioned on #11 and #7...

Nebula, in order to see if this is already fixed in a kernel series
prior to 3.17.x, could you please install the supported package linux-
generic-lts-utopic , reboot into this new kernel, and advise to the
results?

Hello!
I would like to inform me, if the issues that I described in #11 are
going to be fixed in the future...
With all respect!!

Nebula, ok, so just to clarify, does the touchpad work now in 14.04 or
are you still using the mainline kernel you said you tested?

I can not combine pressing the left click button and making a move in touch

I have reinstalled kernel 3.17-rc6 and seems to be ok now, without crashing,
