To clarify. This bug affects a Qt application when running under some
theme of Ubuntu GNOME desktop.
gtk-qt-theme is for GTK applications running under Qt environment.

Err... Isn't gtk-qt-engine supposed to be a Qt4 theme for GTK
applications?
This bug seems to affect the GTK theme for Qt4 applications, which is
the OTHER way around.
