I've been trying this for a couple of times now and it seems to work
perfectly fine. Closing this bug now.

Ok. I've did some more tests now. All of them working fine now. I can
get a data connection up and pings work.
What I tried:
* Add back a second SIM in slot 2, trying both, leaving it locked and unlocking
it.
* Revert to image r7 (the one used in Switzerland).
* Tested the SIM card on mako.

of it's changes should have had any effect on GPRS attachment.

I just flashed image 8 to my Krillin device and its still working which
makes me believe that my yesterday's test wasn't good enough - sorry for
that. However, I'm quite sure that the first runs in Switzerland didn't
work for real, given that I had many different Swiss SIM cards and

I upgraded my Krillin a couple of times in the meantime, currently
running r12 and roaming inside the Vodafone.de network (still with the
same swisscom SIM card) just connected GPRS (HSPA) here for the first
time. Note that I did *not* change any settings in between my
yesterday's test run and toda
OK, so from Michael's last comment #7, we see that even from home the
won't attach to GPRS. Unfortunately, based upon my previous request for
more information, we can't verify that he was indeed roaming as all we
see is the value of 'Attached'.
Regarding comment #6:

Context settings should not matter here. As correctly pointed out
Attached state is set by data registration state. Context settings will
matter only after receiving the attached state and they cannot impact to
Attached state. Because of this I think output of list-modems or list-
context will pro

This renders data unusable for the user right? If that's the case this
should have a higher importance, since Swisscom is one of Switzerlands
primary mobile operators.

@Michael
Could you try this SIM again from home too? When you do, please attach
the output of:
/usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-modems | grep "Attached"
and also the output from the list-contexts command ( located in the same
scripts dir ).
