Hmmm, don't want to jump to conclusions, but it seams that today's update of kmail and kdebase-kio-plugins fixed this... The process number doesn't hit the limit I had set, and kmail has been running since the update (> 1h)... -- [gutsy] kmail creates processes until out of memory https://bugs.la

I was able to reproduce this bug on my other system using the update from 2 (or is it 3) days ago. I'm changing the status to confirmed and importance to medium. I failed to get any data regarding this bug. Like Ivan said, it doesn't crash. Changing assignment to Jonathan Riddell. ** Changed in:

The trigger is checking the accounts for new mail. Well, the backtrace couldn't be made since the program itself did not crash - the system was frozen because of the increasing number of processes. -- [gutsy] kmail creates processes until out of memory https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/135599 You received this bug notification because you are a mem

Weird thing that the importance is still "undecided". It renders one of the main KDE applications unusable... and freezes the system (fork bomb effect, only a bit slower) unless you set a process number limit on your user. -- [gutsy] kmail creates processes until out of memory https://bugs.launch
