How can this issue be successfully moved forward? I don't know how or
why the original fix "got lost".
Is it appropriate to make a new debdiff based on current Hardy sources
and attach it to this bug?

Happening again on hardy 0.3.1 lmms package, no .desktop file in it.
I think that the category entry in the .desktop file should be changed to:
Categories=AudioVideo;Audio;
This is useful when you have ubuntustudio-menu installed to keep audio
production apps separated from everyday audio-video a

Maintainer field once Ubuntu changes are added. Secondly, in the
desktop file the comment should be more user friendly and not just the
