Seems to be alright now, after latest round of updates i was playing around with settings in displayconfig-gtk, when i exited it told me all users would have to log out and back in again, so i did, and gdm was at full res. and so were all other users :) -- New user does not get the correct resolu

I'm wondering if I'm seeing the same thing I did a fresh install of gutsy a few days ago, and X was not correctly configured first off. I managed to change it using displayconfig-gtk, but now alhtough my user (main user) is right, all other users and the gdm will use that resolution but give me
