I have just been trying to work round this bug, and have discovered that
it only seems to affect very large files. The following file:
lofty.dyndns.info/misc/carpark-clone.tif
does not work when tested with the simpler test-case program I have
attached as. However the smaller file:
lofty.dyndn
I have had a reply on the ubuntu-users mailing list saying that the
program works with ubuntu dapper drake. I am using feisty, and I am
pretty sure that it stopped working after I upgraded from dapper,
although it is hard to be sure as I haven't used it for a while.
