I haven't tried the patch, but it looks good to me.
Am I right that all kernels shipped with ubuntu like 3.13.0-32-generic
will get the UTS_UBUNTU_RELEASE_ABI set to the ubuntu version, in this
case 32 and the mainline kernels will get it set to 0.
