Scott Hosking, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from

Here's some packages given by the Ultimate Ed. Forum. Using Synaptic
install these. Note, a lot of these are already installed for video
apps. Just use the search function. You may not find "uvcdynctrl" ,
but my Skype works great although I couldn't find it. Install all the
ones with green chec

Update from Bronto: "The same webcam with the same driver and the same
version of Skype worked flawlessly in Debian. The same thing
