I haven't tried it since the post.
I did an "upgrade" when I went to 7.10 from 7.04, so I will give it a
try again and let you guys know.

I'm experiencing the same issue here with Ubuntu 7.04 as with 7.10
(Desktop, Alternate and Server), This week I'll try this on Debian etch
to check is this bug comes all the way down from Debian.
