The latest Hardy version gives the following and hangs.

Well, I just installed the latest gftp again (2.0.18-16ubuntu3) and tried
a bad site and it crashed as I described, claiming a core dump.
I don't see the core and there is nothing in /var/crash.
I simply used
gftp hbar.stanford.edu
and entered a username and blank password and waited.
