i tried to do a dvbcut-ng package with the Qt4 patch that comes with
svn171. but i could get it working, atleast not under GNOME with
QGtkStyle, it only shows a weird window with two buttons and the
horzitional scrollbar.
did anyone manage to get the Qt4 patch working?

hi there, i redid the package based on the one from Debian Multimedia
and updated it against current SVN. i converted it to debhelper 7 and
the new source format. ffmpeg is done statically with the version
shipped by upstream, isn't that nice but it's recommended and should be
better supported. any

I can't see dvbcut neither in debian nor in ubuntu.

Reading the "Port to Qt 4" on dvbcut-devel list i'd like to say it would
be great to have a port to Qt 4.5 since QGtkStyle has become part of the
Qt 4.5 release which means that Qt 4.5 applications now fits well into
GTK+ environnements like GNOME.

Fantastic, I've just tested it and it works great.
I did have an error in Synaptic during installation, but I think it was just
because the update manager was running at the same time.
Shame DVBCut looks so clunky, but its a really good bit of software!

though.
