Hello,
sorry I'm also not familiar with the Ubuntu workflow, so my question could be
"stupid" :
will there be a backport of this patch for trusty ?
Thank you in advance !

i can confirm that backporting just this one patch is possible - i am
using this that way already 2 weeks or so. (on 14.04 x86-64 lts)
what ive done:
bzr branch lp:ubuntu/trusty/libva
and patch (added as attachment)
its up to you to decide if utopic version should be backported to
previous ubuntu
I'm not familiar with the Ubuntu workflow for such things. If you feel
like doing an SRU for libva, please go ahead. It should be possible to
just backport the patch from 1.3.1-3 to 1.3.0-2.
(I'm just cleaning up some bug reports that we have fixed in Debian and
are still open in Ubuntu.)

Ok, it seem that the version 1.3.1-3 in utopic does no more have that problem.
But how can an updated version be delivered to trusty (and eventually saucy and
precise)?
Should an SRU request or a backport request be issued?
