I have the same problem when using the "Adwaita-X-dark" theme. When using the "Bluebird" themes that ships with my Ubuntu 14.04, the indicator plugin's background is dark blue (as it should be). When using Adwaita, it is light grey as opposed to the rest of the panel which is nearly black. To me i
