After some more diagnostics I've found, that this bug is related to evdev driver. Eject key on my Macbook triggers events on /dev/input/event6 which has (according to lshal) capabilities set to info.capabilities = { 'input', 'button' } (string list) My evdev driver does not grab this device as key
