Ok, thanks, and yes indeed the fstab entry was missing and I had to use
the device names instead of the UUIDs. Thanks for this helpful comment.
For documentation my working setting with a key file.
# crypttab
cryptswap1 /dev/sdb1 /etc/cryptswap1.keyfile
swap,cipher=aes-cbc-essiv:sha25
Is your swap device listed in /etc/fstab? You don't mention that it is.
Without configuring it in the fstab, nothing will automatically swapon
the device.
