This is entirely my fault, I have made a huge mistake in description. The
wireless LED on FS Amilo M7400 is not driven by fsam7400. It is driven by
ipw2200 module with option led=1 enabled.
Anyway, the problem with LED as it is described still persists.

mrickma, can you please confirm that you're not using fsam7400, only
wistron_btns. I have performed a vanilla Ubuntu 7.10 installation on
Amilo M7400 and modprobed wistron_btns — the buttons do work, LED
doesn't work at all.

I just found this bug report. I upgraded my Amilo M7400 from Feisty to
Gutsy and tried to clear out all quirks which I had used before. I guess
that the fsam7400 and acerhk modules have been superseded by module
wistron_btns. At least on my machine the wireless led and button work
reliably after mo
