I can confirm this. With Xubuntu 14.04 LTS (Final) menu entries under
for example (but not exclusively) System are not visible in the menu
itself, although menulibre lists them as not hidden. This affects
entries as for example Software Updater, Sessions and Startup, Software
Sources and Updates, P
This might require a bit of magic, will look into this one.
