The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
1) If you are comfortable
I'm still using Gutsy right now, I'll update to Hardy and report back.
However, I doubt that this will be fixed, I reported the bug on the
kernel bugtracker and there was no progress either. They tried at first
but none of their patches worked.

They advised to disable this:
CONFIG_SCSI_SCAN_ASYNC
because of a bug in scsi core. Maybe Ubuntu should do the same until the bug is
fixed upstream?

I recompiled the kernel with CONFIG_USB_STORAGE_DEBUG=y and here is the

/proc/bus/usb/ exists but it is empty.
Please note, that the Ainol u60 is the only device connected at the moment
to avoid having useless info.
