Same thing. The per folder views worked perfectly in 12.04LTS.

Nautilus in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS still does NOT save view style (List or

1. Open any folder
2. Change view from Icons to List (Click by menu "View -> List" or Ctrl+1).
3. Close folder
4. Open the same folder -> Instead of List view you will see Icons view again.
