I tried a guest session and it worked. Also, remember resizing is
working for me now too. I guess it was some artefact of the upgrade that
was doing weird things and then got better, so I'll mark this as
invalid.

I don't know what I've changed from default. This installation is a few
years old now, I've probably poked and prodded at all kinds of things.

Thanks, I just tried in a guest session and can't confirm that. Note
that your configuration is not the default one since you have a subtitle
line below the icon names, which is not there by default. What options
did you change?
