FYI I didn't forward this patch to debian because arm64 ports isn't
fully bootstrapped and there is a missing build-dep
((file→debhelper→perl→file→perl→debhelper)*, the usual), but (as you can
see) I forwarded it upstream.

I tried this patch on a qemu-bootstrapped arm64 environment
successfully.
