I have this issue with my hardware. The sound-card has a mic volume and a mic
boost control.
Strictly spoken, Mixxx is the wrong place to solve it without loosing bit
depth.
But since opening the alsa mixer to set the boost control is very unhandy in
live situation, this is a good band aid.
Have we actually some real world results with the new mic ducking?
Is "too quit" still an issue then ?
If so, it does not hurt to add the mic gain.

EngineMicrophone needs an EnginePregain for this. We could easily do it
(though EnginePregain has accrued some deck-specific stuff in it, it
would work fine).
