You are correct, they are not similar enough, but, according to the
errors an documentation, the rendering should only be disabled on the
display driven by that card, and not only that, but the Wine apps fail
too, and I somewhat doubt uTorrent is doing much in 3D.

I forgot to mention CPU usage is also very high (often 70% when moving a
window)

GLX apps give the error 'Couldn't set video mode: Couldn't find matching
GLX visual' - with nVidia drivers installed and configured correctly.
As soon as Xinerama is taken out of use
