I don't know why it was done this way, but I see that 4.0.4+dfsg-2 is
available (as the zeromq3 package) in Ubuntu 14.04, so I'm marking this
as fixed.

better. Looks like zeromq4 has been packaged in Debian experimental
(http://packages.qa.debian.org/z/zeromq3.html). Once it migrates to
unstable, it should be automatically synced to Ubuntu as well, though it
may also be possib
