My patch below should fix all the issues above, including the Gutsy
firmware issues, but please let me know if it doesn't work for you.

I'm still getting the same bug with Feisty. I was able to install the
package, but Synaptic is unhappy. Its still reporting the file as not
found.

When I told "you just have to copy & paste", I was speaking about the
restricted manager. When you use restricted manager to enable your
broadcom chipset, the manager asks if you want to download firmware from
an URL or from a file.
I proposed another URL but If you upgrade your Gutsy and try it

I understand that the package is trying to download from a dead link,
but what do you mean "you just have to copy & paste?" Copy and paste
where? What are the exact steps to getting this configured?
