All software on my ubuntu 12.04 was downloaded from ubuntu "ONLY" no outside
software installed. "32 bit o/s

I have two other computers with 14.04 o/s that work perfectly but my main
desktop computer has 12.04 o/s
and a lot of saved files that I want saved. I want to upgrade to 14.04 if
