The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.

Like this: I had to use a program that allowed me to edit the
boot/grub/menu.1st from Windows, but I think you should be able to use the F6
option upon boot also. I was not comfortable with that so I opened it via
Wordpad from Windows and saved it back to the boot/grub/ directory. I used

Yes you was in the right direction but I had not change anything in my
BIOS configuration before.
I decide do these :
1) Use my feisty CD then works ok.
2) Use my gutsy CD the same error before.
3) I went to my Bios then I disabled my Integrate Video.
4) Use my gutsy CD then works ok.

If the BIOS was unchanged between then and now then this is a fair
point.

May be but I used these machine to test Feisty and Edgy with no problem
with the same memory 128 MB RAM y the same video card

I guess this all depends on the AGP(?) aperture setting in your BIOS. If
that is too high then that might cause this issue...

I just test the same machine and the same CD but with 512 MB a no
problem to do the Check Test. Is
the minimal hardware change ?
the problem is just with 64 bits version ?
