The LED for WIFI connection on my DELL INSPIRON 1420 does not flick on
when I get the network. It used to work in Gutsy; but it has stopped
glowing in HARDY. I checked that it is not a problem of the LED since it
does behave properly when I use WINDOWS VISTA. Please suggest a fix.

What wifi chipset is it? If it's an ipw2200 see bug #21367 for how to
enable the LED.
