I have a game controller I'd like to use with ubuntu touch. It pairs
with the desktop fine, but the UI in system settings never shows it.
See screenshot comparing desktop 13.10 and phone 14.04
if this is a feature limitation then the UI should not expose other
devices though

Thanks, that's not a bug though but a feature limitation in the current
version, see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bluetooth#phone
"Initially, the phone will allow use of Bluetooth headsets only. It will
