Thank you for your bug report, I can't confirm the issue though, the
image in this bug report open fine here. Does it work if you try to open
with shotwell or another view (gthumb for exemple)

eog do
I have the same problem. Most of my JPG (and also PNG) images cannot be
viewed on 14.04 EoG - firefox views them fine. And it's not a problem
with the image, since all my existing images which I was browsing
through easily in the past are now not viewable. Will try downgrading.

It seems eog does not show some jpg files.
I received a picture from a smartphone (samsung galaxy trend GT-S7560,
Android 4.0.4) from bluetooth, but eog does not show it. Nautilus
created a preview image in the folder, and I can see the picture with
Shotwell.
