Not sure that its really worth fixing however, unless someone wants to
SRU the fix to Saucy.

Yes. The update and change in layout makes all Ok now. Both the 'Sundry'
and 'Utilities' sub menus have the same width and are within screen
bounds.

Can you try with gnome-shell 3.10 from gnome3 PPA (This does have its
own issues, but will be uploaded once they are sorted).
