I don't have any objection to putting this patch in Gutsy. Incidentally, ghc6-libsrc installs gzipped source files, so (if I understand this correctly) there is a precedent for not excluding them from compression. If you leave that in, you should also add .lhs since there is one in the list (Foo.l
