Thank you for your help but I don't think I will bother with installing 12.04.
Only in the case I can't get the other bug sorted, I may install 12.04 and see
if these bugs exist on precise as well.

I used Lubuntu 11.xx and then I switched to Windows XP.
A couple of days ago I installed Lubuntu 13.10 and noticed this hibernate

Dell
I did sudo dpkg --purge zram-config.
Rebooted and verified that there is no zram used (cat/proc/swaps just shows
/mnt/swap of 1gb).
Tried to hibernate but it is the same as before, the system just logs me out.

Dell latitude d505 hibernate/re
Using the latest rc2 kernel, adding 1gb of swap and disabling swap
(swapoff /dev/zram0) now when I try to hibrate, system just logs me out.
When I reboot, there is no apport error any more.
