I tried to just remove the line, but the size-change still happens. It
might just be a bug in gtk3...
Since the original bug is tackled and only this small visual annoyance
is left, I'd tend to set this to "Wont Fix" or "Fix released", unless
you strongly disagree.

The smaller indicator on selected rows does tno appear to have any effect on
the clickable region
i managed to get gtkparasie to work on transmission, any download with folders
will have the gtk treeview arrows

There is indeed something like firebug for Gtk+, it's called gtkparasite, you
can find it on github.
I'm currently busy with a lot of other projects that need fixes/releases
before the freezes come, so if you can come up with a patch, that'd be
