I think the bug is still in the new ubuntu kernel.

I have the same error.I tried installing the drivers manually but dont
works and changing some parameters of the firmware's code how much
guides says, but dont works too.

The patch mentioned in comment #11 is not in mainline as of yet. It was
cc'd to stable, so it will also make its way into the 3.11 kernel and
Saucy through the usual stable update process.

this kernel wifi works flawlessly.
