16.04 -- therefore I refused to run updates all this time to get a bit

Another problem is that while holding down say the right arrow key to select a
few characters of text, suddenly the arrow key starts generating a digit so in
an editor, it erases what was already selected and produces a stream of 6's or
so. Let's see if I can do it right here ...

I have suffered a similar problem for the past year on a yoga 13 (since
I noticed setkeycodes e03e in syslog) on ubuntu 15.04 x86_64 with the
latest updates. And I do have the latest bios (66CN55WW) since before
the problem appeared.
