I managed to connect to a network. What I did was, first connect the
phone to a computer. go into the terminal and type "phablet-network". It
will connect the phone via the computer's networking information.

I am using the stable release of ubuntu touch 1.0, build number 100, on
a nexus 4. I still have this problem. I tried rebooting, and I also
tried reinstalling, and nothing worked.
