Maybe you're right that this is not a Bug, and I know that a workaround with
"sudo apt-get install curl p7zip-full" exist and could be don really simple.
But software like POL is one of the first Software a Linux noob who is trying
to change to Linux will use. I do not think they sh
Current dev release has that already (if I am not mistaken), but has not
been released as stable, as of yet. Will update after I check it. If I
am incorrect in that being fixed in the current dev version, Ill make

It is a packaging bug for as long as this package is being hosted in the
repos. Because it does not have curl and 7zip listed as a dependency in
the deb package, it does not install them when POL is installed like it
should. Repackage your POL deb with curl and 7zip added as a dependency.

This is NOT A BUG. We (The PlayOnLinux Team) have stated previously that
whatever bugs are being reported here have been corrected. The version
in ALL of Ubuntu's repositories (as far as I can see) is SUPER old. The
current STABLE version that is recommended for use is PlayOnLinux 4.2.1.

Thanks a lot for your trying to get it up to date.
I'm a little bit surprised about the asking from Playonlinux about
dependencies its the first time in my Ubuntu life that a Program is
asking about something like that.

This is not a bug. If you installed from the Ubuntu repos, that version
is SUPER out of date. Download 4.2.1 from playonlinux.com.
I have been trying to get Ubuntu to update their repos, but they have
not done so. This is not a bug. You simply need to install those
dependencies.
