I was able to get virtualbox running by commenting out line 1451 (the line
containing VM_RESERVED) in both
/var/lib/dkms/virtualbox/4.1.12/build/vboxdrv/r0drv/linux/memobj-r0drv-linux.c
and
/var/lib/dkms/virtualbox/4.1.12/source/vboxdrv/r0drv/linux/memobj-r0drv-linux.c
then running:
sudo dkms b
