That's all about libnids.
If you read libnids docs carefuly, you'll find that it reconstructs a TCP
session only if it catched the start of the TCP connection and if the
connection was closed properly.
In the other words it is nesessary for dsniff to be on a job when you
start sniffing.

I have to confirm this, too. Wether my URLSNARF or any app out of the
DSNIFF suite grabs any data. Wireshark, Etherrape work fine. I read
somewhere that this is a problem with the libnids?
I tested your patch but this doesn't fix the problem :( but thank you

i can confirm this. it seems as if dsniff didn't receive packages from
the network. i also was not able to compile this package myself.
