I'm also having issues getting a PCMCIA 340 MB HDD to work. Should I
create a different bug report for it (it's my understanding that with
2.4 flash disks vs hdds used two different kernel modules, memory-cs and
ide-cs), or would it be the same issue? If you like, I can create the

Are the kernel modules ide-cs and memory-cs still used in the 2.6
kernel? These are what I've seen used in the past for pcmcia flash
disks and ata/ide hard drives (something else I'm having no luck getting
to work.
